Gené Klingler joined Artemis in 2011 bringing with her skill and enthusiasm for sales and the process of providing clients with the best product for their project. Prior to joining Artemis, Gené had 16 years of experience calling on natural sales retailers and chain headquarters presenting natural and organic finished products. She received 3 national sales awards for her work.
Gené earned a B.S. with honors from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI and her master’s at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, OH. While at BGSU she received an award from her department for her teaching. She also taught at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit Michigan and before that worked for many years in the Sports Department at the Detroit Free Press.
Curling and ice hockey are Gené’s favorite ice sports; she plays a passable ice hockey goalie position and spends many summer evenings playing competitive water volleyball. She loves botanicals, grows many organic dwarf fruit tree varietals, and also administers her community’s large community garden. She makes glass and steel reliquary art and recently had a sold-out show. Gené is on the board of her community residential organization and serves on the greater area commission.
